Yellow-headed Amazon (also known as Yellow-headed Parrot)

A medium-sized, stocky parrot reach around 15 inches. Known for its brilliant yellow head, green body, and red patches on the wing bend. They are famous for their loud vocalizations and mimicry abilities.

Vibrant lime to forest green base; structural coloration common in parrots. No banding or streaks visible; pigmentation is uniform across the vane.

Densely pennaceous throughout the upper two-thirds for waterproofing and protection; plumulaceous (downy) at the base for insulation.

Smooth and slightly waxy to the touch, providing a matte-to-slight sheen appearance common in tropical parrot plumage.
