Gray Catbird

The Gray Catbird is a medium-sized songbird known for its sleek slate-gray plumage, black cap, and rufous undertail coverts. Famous for its vocal mimicry and distinctive cat-like meow call, it spends much of its time skulking in dense shrubbery.

Acts as an insect controller and seed disperser within woodland edge and suburban garden ecosystems

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher or small female Blue Grosbeak, but distinguished by the pure medium-gray tone without blue or brownish hints

The Gray Catbird is closely related to mockingbirds and thrashers, and its famous meow call is actually a territorial alarm warning. It can imitate the songs of dozens of other bird species.

Good condition, slightly damp from being in a bird bath, with intact barbs and minimal wear
