Rock Pigeon (Rock Dove, Feral Pigeon)

The Rock Pigeon is a robust bird with a stout body, short neck, and a small head. Feral populations display extreme color variation, ranging from the ancestral blue-grey with two black wing-bars to entirely white, pied, or reddish morphs. They are strong, fast fliers with a steady wingbeat.

Pure white, lacking any melanin banding or dark spots. The coloration suggests it comes from a white morph or leucistic individual domestic or feral pigeon.

Mixed structure featuring a pennaceous upper vane with interlocked barbicels and a distinctly plumulaceous lower section with loose, hair-like barbs lacking strict hooklets.

All-white coloration combined with a soft, semiplume structure having a fluffy base and a loosely webbed upper vane.
