Description
The Wild Turkey is a large, distinctive North American game bird renowned for its fan-shaped tail, iridescent bronze body plumage, and bare, brightly colored head of the male. Females are generally smaller and duller in coloration. They are strong runners and capable, though reluctant, fliers, preferring to roost in tall trees at night.
