Laughing Gull

The Laughing Gull is a medium-sized gull known for its distinctive, cackling call that sounds like human laughter. It features a dark slate-gray back, white underparts, black wingtips, and a striking black head during the breeding season which turns white in winter. Their flight is buoyant and graceful, often soaring effortlessly over coastal waters.
