Uniform soft grayish-blue to slate-grey coloration with a dark, prominent central rachis and subtle darker shading near the outer margin, typical of melanin-based gray tones found in dove wings.
Barb Structure
Tightly interlocked pennaceous vane structure with strong barbs and microscopic barbules possessing hooklets, creating a smooth, wind-resistant surface.
Texture & Surface
Smooth, firm, and matte in appearance with a high degree of rigidity along the leading edge to cut through the air efficiently during flight.
Key Features
Uniform slate-grey to blue-grey coloration, pale whitish-grey rachis base, strong asymmetry, and a slender, tapering shape characteristic of columbid primaries.
