Mourning Dove (Carolina Dove, Rain Crow)

The Mourning Dove is one of the most abundant and familiar birds in North America. Known for its graceful, slender shape, long tapered tail, and soft grey-brown plumage with iridescent pinkish patches on the neck. They are famous for their mournful, cooing vocations and swift, whistling flight.
