Eurasian Collared Dove (Collared Dove)

The Eurasian Collared Dove is a medium-sized, slender dove with a pale sandy-grey to pinkish-grey plumage, featuring a distinctive black half-collar edged with white on the back of its neck. They are well known for their persistent cooing calls and frequent presence around human habitations.

Native to Asia, but has naturally expanded and been introduced across almost all of Europe, the Middle East, and North America

Acts primarily as a seed predator and ground forager, serving as an important prey base for local raptors and urban predators
